Ham Chive Cream Cheese Canapés

  1. Pull out the cream cheese and let it come to room temperature. Alternatively, get whipped cream cheese for easier spreading straight out of the fridge.
  2. Pull out the ham and separate the slices for easy assembly. Set aside.
  3. Pull out the chives. Reserve a few chives for garnish. Finely chop the remaining chives. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese and chopped chives. Set aside.
  4. Slice 10 grape tomatoes into slices, making little discs that will top the canapés. Set aside.
  5. Lay out a slice of ham and gently spread a thin layer of cream cheese mixture on the ham. Roll each topped ham piece into a tight roll.
  6. With a very sharp knife, slice the rolls into 1″-1.5″ long rolls. Wipe cream cheese off the knife as needed for clean cuts.
  7. Top each canape with one disc of sliced tomato and chive. Secure with decorative toothpicks.
